INVITATION FOR BID SCTA READING FRANKLIN STREET STATION EXTERIOR DOOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT Sealed bids will be received by the South Central Transit Authority (SCTA) for the Franklin Street Station Door Replacement project at the office of the SCTA Executive Director, 45 Erick Road, Lancaster, PA 17601, until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, on Tuesday, February 13, 2023, for the following: -Contract No 02-2023 Franklin Street Door Replacement Project The project includes the removal and replacement of all Exterior Doors at the Franklin Street Station Facility located at 100 S. 7th Street, Reading, PA 19604. To receive a copy of the Invitation to Bid documents, please contact Keith Boatman, Director of Capital Projects & Planning at (717) 947-7286 or kboatman@sctapa.com . A copy of the bidding documents will be made available electronically upon request. All contractors interested in receiving the Renovation documents will be requested to provide their business name, contact person and contact information (address, telephone and fax numbers and email address). One (1) original and Five (5) copies and one (1) electronic copy on a USB of the SOQ shall be received no later than 1:00 p.m., prevailing time, on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 and should be addressed to: Mr. Gregory C. Downing, Executive Director, South Central Transit Authority, 45 Erick Road, Lancaster, PA 17601. The Bidder’s attention is directed to the fact that all applicable Federal and State laws, municipal ordinances and codes, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the Project shall apply to the Contract throughout, and they are deemed to be included in the Contract the same as though herein written in full. All bids and contracts are subject to all applicable state laws and to a financial assistance contract between the South Central Transit Authority and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Contractors and subcontractors will be required to comply with all applicable NonDiscrimination, Non-Collusion, Contractor Integrity and Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act laws and regulations. SCTA solicits and encourages diverse business enterprise participation. Diverse Businesses shall be afforded full consideration of their response and will not be subject to discrimination. Bidders are advised that this project is subject to and will be governed by the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, including amendments and supplements thereto. Bidders shall prepare their bids after giving consideration to the applicability of said Prevailing Wage Act to the work. SCTA reserves the right to postpone, to accept or reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, or to waive any and all informalities or technicalities, as it deems in its best interest. Gregory C.
