Outdoor Building Banners: The Free Library seeks a local firm with prior experience hanging large-format banners on large-scale historic edifices. The winning firm must professionally install/maintain a cabling system for 11 exterior building banners on the front of Parkway Central Library, including clips and all hardware. The installation needs to be coordinated with the Library's Property Management team; clear communication, safety, and planning is a must. The firm must show professional attention to detail in the fabrication and production of exterior building banners (105" x 264") with outdoor finishing. Machine proofs for color and quality may be required. Banners will be hung from the second floor portico of Parkway Central Library, 1901 Vine Street, Philadelphia, PA. The building capacity is for 11 banners of the aforementioned size. Additionally, please quote the cost of replacing two (flanking) banners for special campaign messaging. Bid estimates should cost out production, installation/deinstallation, and maintenance/repairs of both two banners and of eleven banners. Please note, firms will be responsible for repairing and/or rehanging banners if they sag or fall (due to weather or other causes) as needed. The existing hardware to support the banners is aged and will need to be partially or fully replaced. The removal of old banners and old affiliated hardware will be required. Once newly installed, any hardware/cabling system remains the property of the Free Library of Philadelphia. Potential bidders are required to come on site and survey the existing banner hardware prior to submitting their proposal. We are seeking bids from local firms as multiple site evaluations and/or installation events are anticipated and travel costs cannot be covered.
