Description:

SEALED BIDS for the provision of “Fire Alarm System Inspections, Maintenance and Repair” for various Washington County Buildings”, Washington, PA 15301 will be received at the Office of the County Controller, 100 West Beau Street, Suite 403, Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania 15301, until 11:00 A.M. Prevailing Time, on Tuesday, January 17 th , 2023. Late bids are not accepted.

All bids must be submitted as One Original + One unbound copy according to the specifications and upon a uniform proposal blank. Specifications and proposal blanks may be picked up at the Washington County Purchasing Office, 95 West Beau Street, Suite 430, Washington, PA 15301 or by emailing a request to dalton.thompson@co.washington.pa.us For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address.

You may obtain the above-mentioned bid proposal from the Washington County Web Site at www.co.washington.pa.us. Vendors receiving bids from the web site are responsible for checking for contract changes at the web site.

Proposal must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashier’s check, bank good faith check, other irrevocable letter of credit or bid bond in the amount of $4,000 and made payable to the order of the Washington County Commissioners. Only the Bid Securities listed will be accepted.

Qualifications:
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS: The contractor must be able to perform the
required maintenance and service and have direct access to OEM parts. The contractor must also have and show proof of the following:

A.         At least two (2) qualified service technicians on staff with at least two (2) years, individually, or more experience on commercial fire alarm systems.

B.         Contractor must demonstrate ability to obtain, or have access to, OEM parts, in the time frame necessary to fulfill the response specific requirements for emergency service.

C.        Contractor must have the ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment listed.

D.        Contractor must demonstrate ability to obtain, or have access to, OEM parts, in the time frame necessary to fulfill the response specific requirements for emergency service.

E.        The vendor shall consult with the owner at the time of inspection or otherwise as requested to discuss the life expectancy and future availability of parts/supplies. They shall also provide support and consultation in regard to the needs for system updates.
