Description

NOTICE OF INTENT AS POSTED TO SAM.GOV, NO ATTACHMENTS INCLUDED.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS)) in Hyattsville, MD, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to the American Medical Association Masterfile for Use with the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey and Supplemental Physician Surveys.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), conducts the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS), which collects information on office visits to a sample of non-federal, office-based physicians through an annual survey, as well as other mixed-mode (i.e., web, mail, and telephone) physician surveys on various timely health topics, such as the use of electronic health records, use of opioids for pain management, and telemedicine/telehealth. Each year, an updated version of the American Medical Association’s (AMA) Masterfile, representing a complete listing of U.S. physicians, is purchased by NCHS for use with these surveys. As in previous years, NCHS’s requirement for the Masterfile is not only a provision of all the names and addresses for U.S. physicians, but selected characteristics and physician

demographics to help NCHS draw samples for NAMCS and other physician surveys.

The Contractor will provide the (NCHS) with the most current version of the AMA Masterfile listing of all practicing U.S. physicians. The file provided by the Contractor shall represent the most current listing of all physicians available and shall contain complete contact information. The AMA has been and is currently providing the required information under an existing contract. The Contractor shall also provide quarterly updates to the AMA Masterfile listing during the performance period of this contract. In addition, the Contractor (MMS, Inc.) will extend the data access license for an additional year (January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023) for NCHS to access the AMA Masterfile data previously delivered by the Contractor on the current Purchase Order.

The NAICS code for this action is 541690
