The 171st Air Refueling Wing Mission Support Contracting Office intends to award a Single Source Purchase Order to Phillips Corporation (cage code 3MPQ0), 7390 Coca Cola Drive, Ste. 200, Hanover, MD 21076-1768. Phillips Corporation will be able to provide the 171 ARW with an OMAX MAXIEM 1515/M30 Waterjet Cutting Center, to include installation, start-up, testing, and training. Phillips Corp is and remains the only OMAX authorized distributor to the federal Government; therefore, they are the Single Source for providing the required product and service.

This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The authority for soliciting a single source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization).

The anticipated award date is 30 September 2023. Please note that this is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.
