Invitation to Bid Leacock Township, Lancaster County Pennsylvania, on its own behalf and on the behalf of Brecknock, Caernarvon,Clay, Earl, East Earl, Ephrata, Salisbury, and West Earl Townships will receive sealed bids for Bituminous Chip Seal V2” Single, Va” Single Applications, Ultra-Thin Wearing Course Type B, Polymer-Modified Emulsion (Micro) Type A double Application and Slurry Seal Type 2 and Traffic Line Painting at its office located at 3545 West Newport Rd. Ronks, Pa until 9:00 AM on Tuesday April 2,2024 at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud. It is the intention of this solicitation for each municipality to enter into a separate contract with the same contractor which shall provide such road materials and services for all of the participating municipalities at the same price. It is the further intent of this solicitation that the lowest responsible and responsive bidder in each contract of road materials and services to enter into separate contracts with each individual municipality, using standard Pennsylvania Department of Transportation forms. The total approximate quantities are as follows. Bituminous Chip Seal Va” Single Application - 453,133 Sq, Yds. Bituminous Chip Seal Va” Single Application - 47,068 Sq. Yds. Ultra-Thin Friction Course Type B-14,152 Sq. Yd. Micro Type A Double Application -12,775 Sq. Yd. Slurry Seal Type 2 - 3,830 Sq. Yd. Traffic Lines - 2,775,318 LF. Each bidder shall provide a single price for the above-listed materials and services. Each municipality shall be responsible for acceptance of deliveries, verification for conformance with specification, and making payment to the successful bidder, Leacock Township shall not be responsible for the obligation of any other participating municipality. Each municipality reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids which its governing body determines to be in the best interest of municipalities. Leacock Township intends to select the Bidder which, in its sole opinion, is the lowest, responsive, responsible Bidder in each contract of road materials and services. Leacock Township will award its contracts on April 2, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Office or at a subsequent meeting to be held within 60 days of the bid opening. Each other municipality will award its own contracts or reject all bids at their individual public meeting held after April 2,2024. For all of the materials listed above, each municipalitywill require a performance security in the amount of 100% for the bid price calculated using the estimated quantities and unit prices for such municipality. Bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid for all municipalities payable to all participating municipalities shall be submitted with each bid. Bids shall be submitted on the form provided by Leacock Township.
