ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS EAST COCALICO TOWNSHIP AUTHORITY WATER TREATMENT PLANT FILTER AND PIPE REPAINTING General Notice East Cocalico Township Authority (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Water Treatment Plant Filter and Pipe Repainting Entech No. 4673.003 Bids for the construction of the Project will be received electronically via the PennBid Program by the East Cocalico Township Authority until 4:00 PM local time, Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Abstract of Bids received will be posted on PennBid. The Project includes the following Work: Complete surface preparation and painting of approximately 331 LF of 8” ductile iron pipe, 86 LF of 4” ductile iron pipe, 106 LF of 4” galvanized steel pipe, 100 LF of 2” galvanized steel pipe, and pressure filters (approximately 1,050 square feet). Pre-bid Conference A mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 , at 10:00 AM at East Cocalico Township Authority Water Treatment Plant at 5 Yacht Avenue, Stevens, PA 17578 (Formerly 77 Stevens Rd, Stevens, PA 17578). Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference. Instructions to Bidders. Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012. The East Cocalico Township Authority hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received. Except as otherwise provided by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for sixty (60) days after the Bid Due Date, unless the contract award is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case the Bids shall remain open to acceptance and shall be irrevocable for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the Bid Due Date.
