INVITATION TO BIDDERS 2024 ROAD PROJECTS BRECKNOCK TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY Sealed proposals will be received for the 2024 Road Projects by delivery to the Township Building located at 1026 Dry Tavern Road, Denver, PA 17517 on or before 11:00 a.m. prevailing time, Tuesday, April 9, 2024 when they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The project consists of full depth reclamation on Woodlyn Drive, between Chestnut Hill & Kramer Mill Roads. The contract shall be awarded or rejected on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the regular meeting of the Township Supervisors at the Township Building commencing at 7:00 p.m. All bidders must examine the Documents, read the Specifications, and visit the site of this project to fully investigate the extent and quality of the work required. Bidders shall be familiar with the location and access to construction site, availability of utilities, the condition of the site and any existing construction, and governing regulatory agencies and permit processes. Contract Documents may be examined at the Brecknock Township Building. All copies of plans and specifications may be secured for $25.00 per set and will be available for pick up at the Township Building no later than March 15, 2024. A certified check or bank draft, payable to Brecknock Township or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid shall be submitted with the bid. In addition, the following documents must be included with the bid package: proof of PADOT prequalification and anti-collusion affidavit. The successful bidder(s) will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds for which they are awarded. In addition, the following document must be submitted within twenty (20) days of award: Workman’s Compensation affidavit. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wage rates (Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act 442) as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project if it is in excess of $100,000, and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. The Contract is subject to the requirements for affirmative action to ensure equal employment opportunity (Executive Order 11246). Attention is called to the fact that all contractors and sub-contractors must be PennDOT pre-qualified for the project. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the Owner.
