Boozel Dining Hall Water Heater & Floor Drains
Slippery Rock University of the PA State System of Higher Education invites
Contractors to download bid documents for this project.
Work for the Project shall be accomplished by Separate Prime Contractors according to
Pennsylvania statute. The Lead Prime Contractor shall be the mechanical contractor. Specific
instructions for coordination and responsibilities of the Lead Prime Contractor are contained in
Section 01 31 00, Project Management and Coordination, and elsewhere throughout the Contract
Documents. Work included in each Separate Prime Contract shall include, but not be limited to,
the following:
A. HVAC Construction (UP-498.2) is responsible for the replacement of the existing 25# steam
pressure reducing station, replacement of steam and line from reducing station to water
heaters, and the replacement of the condensate line from the heaters to the existing
condensate receiver.
B. Plumbing Construction (UP-498.3) is responsible for the replacement of the existing steam
hot water generator with two new semi-instantaneous steam water heaters and reconnecting
the new water heaters to the existing system. Also responsible for the installation of new floor
drains in ground floor and sump pump to pump waste to gravity line. All excavating,
trenching, patching and repair of slab due to work shall be included.
C. Electrical Construction (UP-498.4) is responsible for disconnecting power from existing
equipment being demolished and providing power to new equipment.
Work shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete all General Construction to the satisfaction of, and subject to approval of the Professional and State System of Higher Education.
A Mandatory Pre-bid conference, with site visit to follow, will be held on February 22, 2024, at 11:00AM, in the Conference Room, 100 Buildings & Grounds Road, Slippery Rock, PA 16057. The Pre-Bid Conference is Mandatory.
Electronic Bids are due no later than 2:00 PM, EST on March 14, 2024, through PASSHE’s ARIBA Sourcepoint located at http://seller.ariba.com.
