NOTICE TO BIDDERS Online SEALED PROPOSALS will be received by North Coventry Township, Chester County, via the PennBid Program until March 6, 2020 at 10 a.m., at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the Laurelwood Road Culvert Repair Project. Contract award will be considered on March 9, 2020 at the Board of Supervisors meeting beginning at 7:00 PM at the Township Building. The project involves the resurfacing of an existing stone and concrete culvert with a latex modified concrete overlay. The project also includes construction of concrete scour protection on the abutments. The successful bidder will be required to pay the PennBid Program a fee of one-quarter of one percent (¼ %) of the contract value award. There is a minimum award fee of $100.00 and a maximum of $5,000.00 Bid documents can be obtained online via the PennBid Program at www.PennBid.net . Proposals shall be in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders and submitted via the PennBid Program at www.PennBid.net . Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the proposal. Proposals shall be effective for 90 days from the date of opening. The successful low bidder will be- required to provide a 100% performance bond or certified check, a 100% payment bond or certified check, a workman’s compensation affidavit, and a certificate of insurance naming North Coventry Township as additional insureds, all within 10 calendar days after the contract is awarded. North Coventry Township reserves the right to waive any non-material defects or irregularities in the bid, and to reject any or all bids or portions thereof. North Coventry Township, in accordance with Title VI of the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Parts 21 and 23 of 49- C.F.R., notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that MBE/WBE will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and that no person will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award. Project is to be substantially completed by August 14, 2020. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of specified in the documents.
