The project involves the replacement of existing wastewater pumps and piping manifold with three (3) dry-pit, closed-coupled wastewater pumps, new pipe, fittings, and valves, as well as miscellaneous improvements throughout the pump station building.

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check drawn to the order of West Whiteland Township, or a bid bond in favor of West Whiteland Township in the amount of 10% of the bid price. Said check or bond shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Please be advised that West Whiteland Township enacted Ordinance No. 473 for Responsible Contractor Requirements on March 8, 2023.

The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, must be paid to workmen employed on this project.

A pre-bid conference will be held at the date, time and location indicated in Article 5 of the Instructions to Bidders provided on PennBid.

No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days of the date of the bid opening.

West Whiteland Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities.
